As the All-Terrain Vehicles (ATV) market continues to expand, a prominent US-based OEM recognized the potential of integrating advanced in-vehicle infotainment systems to enhance user experiences.

This US-based ATV OEM partnered with Tata Elxsi , a renowned design and technology solutions provider, to help develop a state-of-the-art Next Generation In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) platform and Human-Machine Interface (HMI). The solution had to provide users with a seamless experience.
Challenge
Designing and Developing ATVs with advanced capabilities is a complex endeavor which requires various critical considerations. Achieving adaptability, seamless integration with the existing ATV systems, reliable connectivity in remote environments was important.
This necessitates a single partner who could handle intuitive solutions addressing the entire lifecycle of the ATV including design, development, validation, integration and maintenance expertise. An easy, unified and portable solution was thus required to meet the complex challenges posed by off-road vehicles.
Solution
The primary objective was to enhance the Next-Gen In-Vehicle Infotainment system for greater intuitiveness, exceptional quality, and ride-inspired innovation. The client sought the highest-performing IVI platform in the power sports market. The IVI platform was designed with advanced mapping, navigation, multi-camera capabilities, and an enriched connected experience. It also encompasses security, maintenance, and community engagement.
